
Richard Davies, one of Europe's leading Investor Relations practitioners, has been involved in IR since 1988. After gaining an Honours Degree in German from Sussex University, Richard worked as a journalist and television researcher before entering the City to manage and develop one of the first UK share register analysis services. As well as specialising in the management of global shareholder identification databases, Richard's career has encompassed often pioneering qualitative and quantitative research into a wide range of capital market related areas including hedge funds, emerging market equity, private equity, e-commerce, asset allocation and financial services marketing. Over the last ten years Richard has acted as consultant to most of the UK's investment trust management houses in the area of shareholder identification, investor marketing and Investor Relations. Richard is Deputy Chairman of the UK Investor Relations Society where he is actively involved in the Society's events, conference, membership and education programmes. He was an architect of the IRS' Certificate in Investor Relations and currently sits on the IRS Examination Board. Richard is a full Member of the UK Chartered Institute of Public Relations through its Corporate & Financial Group. Richard contributes regularly on IR related issues to industry magazines and journals and lectures on capital markets internationally. |

Andrea Thorpe MIRS Andrea graduated from Camberwell College of Arts with a BA (Hons) Degree in Conservation. Andrea's IR career started in 1999 when she joined Orient Capital, an Australian IR Consultancy based in London, where she learned the broad scope of Investor Relations working on research projects, proxy solicitation, roadshows and assisting the Section 212 department. Andrea later joined a financial research company as a client manager specialising in analysis of share registers for UK quoted companies. She continues this expertise in the shareholder analysis division at RD:IR, focusing on an interactive client management role. |
Caroline Henry MIRS Caroline has over 12 years experience in investor relations which began in her role as trainee shareholder analyst for Makinson Cowell. Caroline went on to head up the team which specialised in takeover and mergers before managing the shareholder analysis department. In 2000 Caroline joined Robert Fleming (now part of JP Morgan) as an Assistant Company Secretary in the investment trust department, providing support for the five company secretaries. She was responsible for co-ordinating share buy-back programmes, sending Stock Exchange announcements, dealing with shareholder queries and preparing the interim reports. Caroline was also actively involved in organising the investment trusts' AGMs. Caroline returned to Investor Relations in 2001, working for an IR consultancy on the share analysis side, before joining RD:IR in 2004 as a client manager. She now acts for a number of RD:IR's corporate clients, three of which are FTSE 100 companies. Caroline specialises in close share register monitoring, trading volume analysis and the effects of corporate actions on the share register. |

Matt Duffy MIRS Matthew has many years of shareholder analysis experience. Graduating in BA (Hons) Philosophy from Kings College London in 1999 and completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Law, Matthew began his career in IR working for a consultancy specialising in shareholder ID, investor roadshows and IR websites. Matthew joined RD:IR in early 2004 and is a client manager specialising in UK shareholder ID, IR product development and capital market regulation. |
Ian Smith, MIRS After graduating from the University of Sussex with a BA (Hons) in History, Ian spent two years working in Investor Relations with Lloyds TSB Registrars before joining RD:IR. At RD:IR, Ian specialises in overseas share register analysis and oversees the activities of the Analytics Support team. | ||
Isabel Richardson, MIRS Isabel heads the research division at RD:IR. A graduate in International Relations from Aberystwyth University, Isabel's research career began when she left University to join a specialist financial research company in 2000. Isabel specialises in managing major research projects for domestic and internationally quoted companies, financial organisations and regulatory bodies. Her expertise ranges from project conception and design through research to production of written reports and presentations. Isabel is an affiliate member of the Market Research Society. During 2006 Isabel managed a number of major corporate action and proxy solicitation projects for RD:IR’s UK FTSE 350 clients. Other recent projects that Isabel has been involved in include financial market perception studies, IR capability audits and asset allocation studies for pension funds. |
Michael Nikolakis, PhD MIRS Michael is Research Manager at RD:IR. Michael's involvement in IR started in 2001 as a researcher in a financial research company. His previous work experience includes conference production, event management and theatre production in the UK and in Greece. Michael holds a PhD in Politics and Cultural Studies from the University of North London (now London Metropolitan University). Michael has worked on and managed a variety of projects at RD:IR involving both qualitative and quantitative research. Recent projects include pan-European studies on the role of derivatives and portfolio trading in fund management along with studies of fund management CEOs' views on various developments in capital markets across Europe. Michael is the project manager for RD:IR's research projects for Financial News, the UK financial weekly journal. |

Anais Rodriguez, MIRS Anais is a recent graduate in Business and Marketing from London Metropolitan University. She is originally from Venezuela and joined RD:IR in August 2005 as a Section 793 Administrator. |
Jim Bedigan Jim provides external oversight of our software applications, offering advice on technology and insights into the way we implement our services. A highly experienced consultant, trainer and programmer, Jim was responsible for the original development of our in-house software including our data preparation, delivery and presentation applications and platforms. He works with our technical team to ensure that these and other services meet evolving client needs. Jim has over 25 years' experience of developing customised software services for the desktop and the web. He has worked in a wide variety of technical and commercial sectors. Jim has a physics degree from Durham University and is based in Macclesfield, Cheshire. |

Aamir Saleem Aamir started his career in 1992 at KPMG in Audit and Assurance. In 1998 he completed a Masters in Commerce, and in 2002 a Masters in Economics. Having worked for KPMG for seven years, he later joined LISSBA, a college of Punjab University in Pakistan, as Manager (Accounts and Finance) where he worked until relocating to the UK in September 2005. Aamir is currently studying for the ACCA exams. In his spare time Aamir likes to play badminton and is a keen photographer with a love of landscapes and nature. Most weekends you'll find him doing voluntary work for a variety of charities and local council events. |
Louise Clamp MIRS Louise has specialised in investor relations for over thirteen years. She has held in-house positions at Inchcape, Thames Water, National Grid and National Grid Transco where she gained valuable experience of wide ranging corporate activity including acquisitions, disposals, mergers, regulatory reviews and management and structural changes. More recently she worked at the Investor Relations Society gaining a more theoretical overview of the industry. Louise is interested in the arts, theatre and literature. |

Peter Watterston Peter qualified as a Chartered Secretary in 1974. He worked as a an assistant company secretary for several years before moving to the City. Peter spent over 10 years as an institutional marketeer for several stockbrokers; this was followed by over 12 years in marketing roles for investment trusts and other financial service providers. |

Born in Italy, Veronica moved to the UK at the age of eight and is bilingual in Italian and English. On leaving school she obtained a BA (Hons) Biology with Management and an MBA from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in London. She gained experience of equity sales from Credit Suisse First Boston, BZW and BNP Paribas, before taking up communications roles as a consultant for Noonan/Russo and as Head of Corporate Communications for biopharmaceutical company, Xenova Group plc. Veronica relocated to Philadelphia in April 2006 where she has been advising companies on investor relations and corporate communications through her own company, R&R Associates. |
